Tate County Tax Assessor, Donnie Ross, is pleased to provide access to land and building records of all parcels in Tate County, access to all parcel maps in Tate County, and deed information for all parcels in Tate County. However, certain user cautions are important. Square footage of a house is determined by rounding to the nearest foot using outside dimensions. Ownership of property is as of January 1st of each year, due to the Tax Lien date. Users should also be advised that this information is for tax purposes only.
The Tax Assessor's duties include listing and placing value on all taxable property (real and personal) annually, maintaining maps, assisting homeowners with Homestead Exemption applications from January 1 through April 1 of each year, preparing the tax roll for the Board of Equalization in accordance with the laws that govern the jurisdiction.
